Urban Farm

Our Beginning

A wonderful opportunity for EBC to provide natural and organic vegetables, fruit and herbs for people who are food insecure and have limited access or resources for healthy food. The Farm offers those with green thumbs the opportunity to participate in planting, weeding, and harvest its yield; learning environments for school aged children; and fresh produce for our seniors, sick and shut-in members; and food insecure families.

EBC Cares new Urban Farm will provide natural and organic vegetables, fruit and herbs for people who are food insecure and have limited access or resources for healthy food.

Where are we breaking ground

The urban farm will be located at 4191 Cascade, minutes from Elizabeth Baptist Church campus. One of the 8 acres at this site will be cultivated for food production in Phase 1 of the project.

How are we feeding the Community

The farm’s produce will provide a valuable source of fresh food for the most vulnerable members of our community seniors, food in secure families, and the sick and shut-in

We are leading by example

Local food production empowers communities to take control and manage a vital source of sustenance. The farm will practice sustainable and regenerative natural and organic growing methods to benefit people and the land. It will stimulate a circular economy by hiring people, sourcing locally, and distributing food within the community.
